CA. Anil Garg, aged 60 years, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, is the Founder Partner of the Firm having more than 34 years of experience in practice. He is also a Law Graduate from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He has also made successful representation before `European 5 Commission’ at Brussels (Belgium) in the matters related to ‘Anti Dumping Duty’ and Foreign Trade.
He has served as a Director on the Local Board of State Bank of India, MP & CG. He was nominated on the recommendation of Ministry of Finance, New Delhi for a period of 3 years commencing from 01 st July 2013. He has successfully completed his tenure on 30 th June 2016.
In past, he has held various positions in the Managing Committee of Indore Branch of Central India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India such as Treasurer, Secretary etc. He was also nominated as a member of ‘Executive Committee of Tax Practitioners’ Association, Indore’. Presently, he is Vice President of Tax Bar at Tribunal, Indore.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of a very renowned Tax Journal i.e. `Income-Tax Judgments’ published every fortnightly from Indore. In such Journal, he is regularly dealing with the queries of the subscribers of the Journal on various issues of taxation.
He has presented a large number of papers in seminars and conferences relating to direct taxes organized by various branches of the Institute and other professional forums in the country. He is a regular speaker at study circle meeting of Indore Branch. He is also a regular contributor of articles in various newspaper and magazines.
He is regularly representing his clients, which inter-alia include big corporate and quasi-government agencies, before the Income-Tax Authorities, Appellate Authorities and Income-Tax Appellate Tribunal for the last nearly 34 years.
He regularly contributes his articles in various Tax Journals and Magazines on the subjects of Direct Tax Laws. He has contributed many times in presenting Pre-Budget and Post-Budget Memorandum to the Ministry of Finance. He is providing free tax consultancy to the economically weaker section of the society, Trade & Commerce Associations, NGOs on regular basis.
He has also been accredited as an Arbitrator on the panel of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also as Mediator on the panel of North Western Region of the Ministry of Company Law Affairs, Government of India. He has also been accredited with the title ‘Luminary’ and has been recognized amongst the top 25 Chartered Accountants of Central India by Dainik Bhaskar Group, Indore.
